Once you're checked in and fitted with a wetsuit, you'll head down to the beach where you'll meet your instructor and be given a board and rash guard.
Instructors will review the rules and boundaries of the La Jolla Ecological Preserve, as well as ocean safety and stand up paddle board etiquette before leading stretches, and energizing activities.
After that, you'll get to head out into the ocean for some in-water instruction! The instructors will teach you the paddle board basics like how to paddle through the surf, turn, and get back on your board if you fall off in the water. While in the water, you'll get to learn more about the Marine Preserve and if weather permits, paddle near the Seven Sea Caves.
